They're very comfortable - the "cantilever" heel makes it pretty shock absorbent. We walk a few miles each day, primarily on concrete or asphalt. The wear has shown up, but it's reasonable wear. I also wore them hiking in the Catalina mountains near Tucson. They worked just fine on rocky trails. I'd order them again! The shoes I think were of good quality and comfortable if both were not defective. This was my second pair in that the first pair was too small. I think whoever buys this shoe won't have many complaints about it if any. I would recommend them still.
